Christine Ziade (BAKin MHScPT) is a registered physiotherapist who graduated from the University of Western with an Honours specialization in Kinesiology and obtained her Masters in Physiotherapy from The University of Ottawa in 2010. She has been working in private practice treating orthopedic injuries and offers services in both English and French. From 2013-2018, she worked at the TMJ physiotherapy clinic in Ottawa and has extensive experience in treating temporomandibular dysfunction.
Over the years, Christine has taken additional courses in acupuncture, functional movement analysis, manual therapy, as well as visceral and neural manipulation training from the Barral Institute.
Through her work, Christine has found that there are a number of causes behind pain and dysfunction. During the initial physiotherapy appointment, Christine performs a full body assessment to try and find the root cause of the problem. She believes that the body works as a functioning whole and that we cannot segment the body. Her treatment approach is a combination of manual therapy including; joint mobilization, myofascial release, neural and visceral manipulation, exercise rehabilitation and breathing techniques to create an individualized and functional approach.
Her treatment population includes working with all age groups through a broad range of musculoskeletal conditions, including acute and complex chronic issues.
